SLPA Job in Downey, CA: Join Our Pediatric Clinic Team
Do you love working with kids and want to grow alongside experienced clinicians? Speech Improvement Center’s Downey clinic is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support pediatric speech and language therapy under the direction of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver one-on-one therapy focused on improving children’s communication skills
- Follow and implement treatment plans created by your supervising SLP
- Partner with SLPs on speech screenings
- Give and score standardized assessments with SLP guidance
- Document sessions and progress, updating records as your SLP directs
- Share insights in team meetings and collaborate with other SLPs and SLPAs
What You’ll Bring
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- A valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license
- Great communication and people skills
- Comfort working independently and as part of a supervised team under a licensed SLP
