School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant – San Fernando, CA
Bring your energy to San Fernando Valley schools. Speech Improvement Center is looking for a dedicated School SLPA to work alongside licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and fellow assistants, helping students build the communication skills they need to succeed.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and documenting student progress in speech-language services
- Provide direct individual and group support targeting speech and language deficits
- Carry out individualized treatment plans under the supervising SLP
- Help conduct assessments and screenings of students with speech and language concerns
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to bring therapy goals into each student’s educational plan
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and communication
- Team up with other SLPAs to communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Seek out professional development to keep growing as an SLPA
Required Credentials
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license
