School-Based SLPA Job in Anaheim, CA
Speech Improvement Center is hiring a dedicated, enthusiastic School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in Anaheim schools. Working closely with our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and fellow SLPAs, you’ll carry out individualized treatment plans that help students succeed.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students in individual and group sessions to address speech and language needs
- Carry out individualized treatment plans under the guidance of a licensed SLP
- Assist the SLP with assessments and screenings of students with speech and language concerns
- Work with teachers and support staff to build therapy goals into each student’s educational plan
- Help monitor and document student progress
- Keep accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders
- Coordinate with other SLPAs to keep communication with parents, teachers, and administrators running smoothly
- Pursue ongoing professional development to grow your SLPA skills
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license
