Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – Gardena Clinic
At Speech Improvement Center in Gardena, CA, our SLPAs are a key part of every child’s therapy team. We’re hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to work under our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and help young clients build stronger communication skills.
Your Role
- Implement personalized treatment plans designed by the SLP
- Provide direct therapy sessions addressing specific speech and language goals
- Assist SLPs with screenings for speech therapy services
- Administer standardized tests and score them under SLP supervision
- Maintain up-to-date records of client progress and plan adjustments
- Collaborate with SLPs and SLPAs and join regular team meetings to discuss client progress
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- Current Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team under a licensed SLP’s guidance
