School SLPA Position – Los Angeles, CA
Want to help students communicate with confidence? Speech Improvement Center is adding a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to our school-based team in Los Angeles. You’ll work side by side with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and other SLPAs to put individualized treatment plans into action.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the SLP on assessments and screenings for students with speech and language concerns
- Implement individualized treatment plans with guidance from the licensed SLP
- Work directly with students one-on-one and in small groups
- Coordinate with teachers and support staff so therapy goals carry into the classroom
- Track and document student progress
- Maintain up-to-date session records, progress notes, and stakeholder communication
- Collaborate with fellow SLPAs to keep parents, teachers, and administrators in the loop
- Keep building your skills through ongoing professional development
What You’ll Need
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- A valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license
