Meet Our Supervisors
Kerri Wake
Kerri always knew she loved working with children since she was a teenager. After attending Cal State University Northridge for her undergraduate and graduate degrees in speech language pathology, she also found her passion for learning about and teaching communication skills particularly to children. Kerri worked as a speech language pathologist in the public school setting primarily with preschool aged children before moving to the private practice setting where she has worked for over 10 years. Kerri is passionate about autism, pragmatic language development, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), working with families in the therapy process, as well as teaching, training, and mentoring therapists in the field of speech language pathology. Kerri is excited and grateful to have joined the SIC team in 2025 and hopes to continue growing her own skills and making a positive impact on the field of speech language pathology.
Shaneen Lugassy
Hi my name is Shaneen Lugassy and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with 30 years of experience, beginning my career in the medical field. After having my first two children, I transitioned to early intervention, where I’ve spent the past 18 years helping young children build strong communication foundations. I truly love working with kids and find great joy in making a difference during these critical early years.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, swimming, hiking, and traveling. Most importantly, I cherish time spent with my family—my husband and our three wonderful children.
